Can you tell us about your relationship with Sai Kung and Clearwater Bay?
I have been living in Sai Kung for almost 20 years and before that for eight years in Clearwater Bay. No surprise, I came here for the countryside and the sea, especially the magnificent view from my house in Tsam Chuk Wan. The layers of hills and the peerless coastline provide inspiration for my music and my life.

Why did you start Green Earth Society?
I started the shop because I was suffering from multiple chemical sensitivities. I spent four years researching the issue, finding the eco-friendly products - organic food and vegetables, body products, green technologies - that would help me overcome my condition, and decided to share that with other people.

Have you come across any difficulties in promoting green life in Sai Kung?
Of course! People don't understand why they have to pay so much for organic food. They overlook the price they pay in their bodies and their lives, which are priceless. Everything sold in my shop must be harmless to both the body and the earth. That is why no one runs the same shop, not even in Europe or the US. Some people think I'm crazy in environmental preservation, but I don't care, I have my faith.

What are your views about plans such as the enlargement of Hiram's Highway and, globally, the Copenhagen Climate Summit?
Well, obviously, the Hiram's Highway enlargement would raise property prices in Sai Kung, which is good. But I am against anything that damages the natural environment. And I think the Copenhagen Summit is a waste of time. It is just a game the politicians play to increase their bargaining power. The ultimate winners will be polluters and traders of the carbon quota.

Do you have any advice for others interested in environmental preservation?
We don't have much time. If we don't act now, in 25 years there will be wars over food, water and energy. So, please make this your priority in daily life.

What's your favourite local restaurant?
Prestigio. I am allergic to chemicals, and there are no more than 10 restaurants I can go to in Hong Kong. Prestigio (183C, Po Tung Road, 2264-0226) tailor-makes food for me using only organic seasonings.

Tell us about your latest project.
I just finished filming a French movie called "Stretch", and a TV programme for ATV, "Green Saver Mission", that shows every Saturday. There will be more exposure to the media for promoting Green Life soon. Stay tuned!

What is your motto?
Never give up!
